The Roadmap
I'm just one person here, a digital artist, enjoying the creation of these NFTs. I do want to create a value add on top of the artwork itself, but I'm trying to stay away from hiring a team of programers, and renting AWS servers to create an entire virtual world.
At the moment, I'm thinking about allowing owners to get a 3D Wayward Shark, that can "somehow" be imported into metaverse worlds such as Decentralland and The Sandbox. Perhaps even Second Life, if they upgrade to Web3. And any upcoming metaverse worlds as well.
Web3 impresses me very much. I now see an emerging economy, where folks can work in the metaverse itself, and get paid for their efforts directly in crypto. Games that pay you in crypto, and not just game gems. I want very much to a part of that, and I hope the Wayward Shark Club is a good starting point.
I consider myself a community builder, although my efforts until now have been on in person connections. So building an online community will be a fun endeavor, and since I live in Austin, Texas, I have a great city to host Wayward Shark Club events.
Lets also ensure that artists can use NFTs to make a living, and not always require a value add that requires programming and servers, and such things that consume time and effort away from the creation of the art itself. I would hate to kill the artist with such a requirement after one banner year of NFTs.
